What is Scotchgard?

Scotchgard is a chemical compund (perfluorooctane sulfonate). Which prevents staining to various materials, fabrics and fibres. Scotchgard is also known as Stain shield. 

 How does it work?

Scotchgard works by creating an invisible layer on top of the material of your carpets, upholstery etc that prevents spills/dirt from being absorbed.


What are the benefits of Scotchgard?

Scotchgard can enlongate the life of your carpets, upholstery/sofas, rugs etc.

Scotchgard makes it easier for you to clean up those marks and spills with a clean damp cloth.

Scotchgard prevents those dirt marks and spills from discolouring and becoming permanent stains.


How do we apply Scotchgard?

We apply the scotchgard with a purpose built sprayer. The Scotch guard is a clear, odourless liquid chemical and is sprayed onto the fabric in four directions.


How long does it take to dry?

It only takes 1 - 2 hours to be fully absorbed and dry. You must wait for it to be completely dry to be 100% effective.


How long does Scotchgard last?

We recommend you apply the Scotchgard every twelve months as it gets worn down everytime you walk over your carpets or sit on your settee. As frequently as every six months for high traffic areas.


How much does it cost?
